Mascots have a way of sticking with people. They live somewhere between memory and meaning, where brands start to feel a little more human.

For MTE, a brand with ninety years of history, the opportunity is not nostalgia. It is about meaning. A mascot can reach people who are not paying attention, spark a little curiosity, and bring some warmth to a space that often feels purely functional.

Reddy Kilowatt captured the imagination of a generation when electricity pointed to what was possible. It stood for progress and the sense that something new was just over the horizon. But culture moves on, and even the strongest symbols need to evolve.

MTE is carrying that idea forward through Bringing Good Energy. Wattly is how that shows up.

A modern take on what made those early mascots work, he reflects reliability and community while adding warmth and approachability. Through schools and local presence, he connects with the next generation of Middle Tennessee in a natural way.

Because the most powerful ideas do more than inform. They connect.
