Nice to meet you, Scott

MAR 21, 2024

During the interview process, you learn things about your new team members. Here’s a collection from our newest, Scott Lawrence. In reality, there’s a lot more, but these were the only things deemed safe enough for work.

  1. His personality is a spicy bouquet of dryness and detail.
  2. He can provide you with seven pages on how to make the best cup of coffee but only one sentence on his impressive music career.
  3. He loves marathons only for the swag or merch. He does not run.
  4. Do not ever mention condiments when making eye contact with him.

After cutting his teeth at the world-renowned International House of Pancakes and performing at lesser-known Carnegie Hall, we were thrilled to get Scott on stage with us as our newest designer.

So, here’s the rundown …

Favorite Book

I read mainly non-fiction, so they aren’t novels…but two books that strongly influenced me are The War of Art by Steven Pressfield and Drunk Tank Pink by Adam Alter.

Favorite Local Restaurants

Penne Pazze in Sylvan Park. The cooks are typically shouting at each other in Italian so you know the food’s going to be good.

Favorite TV Show

The best show of all time naturally, The West Wing.

Favorite Walkout Music

The Main Title from The West Wing. You have to be impressed with my consistency.

All About Scott

Favorite work that you’ve produced?

Probably the loaf of bread I baked last week. Nailed it.

What’s something people would be surprised to know about you?

I have two degrees in opera performance, but I’m terrified of Karaoke.

Least favorite household chore?

Cleaning up random tiny toys. So. Many. Tiny. Toys. Where do they come from? Where do they go? Why are they?
