In college, Erica was a walk-on for the University of Alabama’s Track team. Then, after a brief stint in modeling (Oh, do you have a photo of yourself on the International Space Station? We thought not.) and starting a family, Erica went into design. And despite her love for clean, colorful designs, Erica also loves playing in the dirt and building things. Today, instead of running, she’s driving a lifted red truck while blasting Notorious BIG. Listen, defying expectations is her vibe.

“You earned this.” It really speaks to me when someone else acknowledges the hard work I put in and recognizes I earned what I received.

Etch for a classy, upscale, well-curated meal or Monday Night Preservation Co.—it’s an old factory renovated into a modern tap room. It’s my kind of vibe.

The first logo I designed. I did a complete 180 in my career direction, with my core motivation being to help others. At the time I was struggling to see how design connected to helping others. The first logo I designed opened my eyes to see what good design and marketing could do for a company.
Graduating college. I did life a bit backwards that traditional expectations. I got married, had kids, all while going to college throughout but did a complete 180 and started my studies over in a different field. So when the day finally came, fourteen years later, I think everyone thought, FINALLY! Ha!
